Axis Mvndi is a project where EM (electromagnetic) waves are used to draw shapes at a cosmic scale. It proposes a shift of point of view regarding the radio waves, instead of using them as a medium for transporting information, it only use them for their most important specificity: the fact that they travel at the speed of light. In Axis Mvndi, the waves are emitted from a location vertically towards the sky, drawing shapes as the Earth moves and rotates on itself. The actual position of the waves is then represented on a website that allows a global point of view as the waves are slowly moving away from the solar system.
