TJ Hicks is a US Disk Jockey/Producer and is known for skillfully fusing deep & soulful Detroit Techno with a varied selection of electronic music.

Born in Harlem, New York in 1972 and based in Vienna, Austria; he’s played at various events across America, Austria, Bahrain, Croatia, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK to perform his unique mix of Underground Electronic Dance Music. Some memorable events and club nights include; The Drome in London, England | Flex in Vienna, Austria | The Monastery – Abbey de Blanchelande in Normandy, France | Club Yellow in Tokyo, Japan | Sven Väth’s Cocoon/Micro Club in Frankfurt, Germany and the Bang Tech 12 kick-off event for the Detroit Movement Festival in Detroit, USA. He currently records electronic music under the moniker Altroy and has remixed or recorded for Editions Mego , Pomelo and his own imprint Minimalsoul™. His current Red Planet 12″ is out now on Minimalsoul™. Minimalsoul™ releases a variety of soulful, modern and abstract music. [changing the way you listen..] is the basic concept of the label. His MSR Distro company is the current distribution company for forward thinking electronic music based in Vienna, Austria.
